Aircraft Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Because of Crack in Windshield

A jet transporting the US defense secretary was compelled to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the plane's windshield, according to an official announcement which stated that all passengers were secure.

"The aircraft landed based on standard procedures and everyone onboard, including Pete Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson commented in a online announcement.

He was traveling back from a brief trip to Brussels at the time.

This incident isn't the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet carrying a top government figure has suffered equipment failures.

In a previous incident this year, a United States Air Force aircraft transporting Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was forced to return to Washington after experiencing a mechanical problem.
